Noise Intercepted Challenge #8 – the Portrait. For this challenge I explore the sonic worlds that have arrived at my window. This every changing world is usually ignored but can often produce some interesting sound worlds.
Noise Incepted challenge #7. This piece is dedicated to all those cyclists who for some unknown reason act like like morons 🙂
For the Noise Intercepted challenge #6, The Eavesdropper I have created a soundscape piece made of 47 samples of anonymous dialogue. Featuring various languages, and process using various spatial techniques, it reconstructs into something very familiar. Is that strange?
For challenge #5 of the Noise Intercepted project I have created a soundscape piece. Produced from field recordings of my neighborhood in Kreuzberg, Berlin, it attempts to convey the sense of spring, or at least how I feel it. Focusing on the subtle details it shines a light on audio events often missed in the din of city life.
For challenge #4 of The Noise Project I created a piece that reflects the impact of the exterior soundscape when listening to music on headphones. The piece is generated by the features that the 1st 3 submissions have in common with the track I was listening too.
For part 2 of the Noise Intercepted project I have answered their “Little Things” challenge with my piece Aeolian Construction. Created from a recording of wind blowing through scaffolding it creates the unusual sense of waves crashing on the shoreline, except this is the city. A very pleasurable auditory experience, from what is a very common mundane site in modern city.
I am taking in a project organised by Labspace Studio called Noise Intercepted, a global art project about noise.
